Nag Panchmi is celebrated throughout India and falls on the fifth day of the moonlit fortnight of the month of Sravana, which falls in the month of July or August.

On this auspicious festival, Snakes are worshipped by specially women. Women innocently ask Lord Snake to bless the life of their husband, brothers and family as well.
